Having grown up summering on Nantucket, it had always been Danielle's dream to get married on the island. Nantucket holds a special place in her family's hearts -- from evening trips to the Juice Bar, walking the docks on summer days and scoping the night skies at 'Sconset for shooting starts. Tony had grown up going to the Cape, so the first summer they were together, Danielle shared her love of the island with him, taking him to the Whaling Museum, the Chicken Box, and of course to 'Sconset to look for shooting stars.
Danielle & Tony initially met on Match.com and went for a typical first date of dinner and drinks. Danielle had a good night, but wasn't really interested in a second date at that time. Sensing this, Tony lured her on a second date with Bruins tickets. Recounting the story, Danielle said, "We arrived to the game about five minutes late. We had missed three fights in the first four seconds, and two goals within the first minute and a half....But we had a great time, the Bruins won 6-3, and we've never been apart since."
Tony was right about pushing for that second date, just like he was right when he encouraged Danielle to look into a few things when it came time to figure out their wedding locale. He knew she had her heart set on Nantucket, but she wasn't sure it would be possible. Tony said, "At least take a look...," and wouldn't you know a fall wedding on Nantucket began to come together. Danielle says, "That pain in the butt was right after all."
September 30th dawned a beautiful early fall day on island. Bright blue skies hung over Tom Nevers Beach, where Danielle & Anthony hosted their wedding ceremony and reception. The ceremony, officiated by the bride and groom's dear friend Matthew Devlin, was followed by a cocktail hour on the lawn. As guests moved into the tent for dinner and dancing, guests were treated to a beautiful sunset. The wedding was catered with fabulous food by Zachary Knights, and guests danced the night away to Nantucket DJ Productions', Brett Morneau's jams.
